It's no news that the body of Brazilian women is often stereotyped both within and outside Brazil, perpetuating an unrealistic beauty standard.
A study conducted by Dove revealed that 80% of Brazilian women face discomfort and disrespect due to the imposed standards regarding their bodies. We seized the opportunity of Carnaval, one of the periods when Brazil receives the most foreigners, to create a campaign that speaks directly to them.
With messages in English and Spanish, we were present from the airports to the Carnaval “blocos”, questioning sexist behaviors and the objectification of the female body, aiming to raise awareness and provoke attitude changes regarding stereotypes of Brazilian women.
